Privacy policy

Usage data stays on your Mac.

Effective October 8, 2026.

Overview

Reset Radar is a macOS menu bar app that shows usage limits for supported AI services. It does not require a Reset Radar account, and we do not operate a server that collects your usage history.

Information the app accesses

Reset Radar reads the usage percentages, reset times, account availability, and authentication state needed to display your active limit windows. It also checks whether supported applications are installed on your Mac.

How provider requests work

Codex usage is requested through the Codex software already installed on your Mac. For Claude usage, Reset Radar reads your existing Claude credential from macOS Keychain or Claude’s local credentials file and sends an authenticated usage request directly to Anthropic. Reset Radar does not copy that credential to our servers or store a separate copy.

Information stored on your Mac

The app stores a small local snapshot of your recent usage state, previously delivered reset alerts, and preferences such as launch at login, notification settings, language, and voice choice. This information stays in the app’s local macOS preferences.

Notifications and audio

Reset alerts are delivered through macOS and use the notification permission you choose in System Settings. Voice recordings are bundled with the app and play locally on your Mac.

Analytics and selling data

Reset Radar does not include advertising or a Reset Radar analytics service. The website keeps one aggregate total of Download button clicks. It does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, or AI usage history. We do not sell personal information or upload your AI usage history to a Reset Radar server.

Your choices

You can turn off reset alerts, revoke notification permission, disable launch at login, or stop using the app at any time. Removing Reset Radar stops it from accessing provider usage information.
